II. BRIEF HISTORY:
The Diocese of Kericho was split from Catholic Diocese of Nakuru at the end of 1995. It covers the three districts of Kericho, Bureti and Bomet in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya.  THe first Bishop was Rt. Rev. Philip Anyolo, who was transferred to Homa-Bay diocese.  He was succeeded by Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Okombo on May 24, 2004.
