BRIEF HISTORY:
The Diocese of Homa Bay was created on November 12, 1993. It was formerly part of the Diocese of Kisii. Homabay diocese is located in Nyanza Province in South West Kenya. Homabay district has an inland equatorial type of climate. In February 2002, the first Bishop of Homa Bay Rt. Rev. Linus Okok Okwach resigned. He was replaced by Rt. Rev. Philip Anyolo.
