BRIEF HISTORY:
Marsabit diocese is located in the eastern Province of Kenya. 

The territory covers Marsabit, Samburu & Moyale Districts. The new Diocese of Marsabit was erected on November 25, 1964 and Bishop Charles Cavallera was transferred from Nyeri to become the first Bishop.

The Missions were all entrusted to the Consolata Fathers and the Fidei Donum Priests of Alba, assisted by the Consolata and Comboni Sisters. Later on the Comboni Fathers, the Salesians of Don Bosco, the Fidei Donum of Augsburg (Germany),Torino and Brindi, the Vincentians from USA  and other Religious Congregations and lay people Joined in the work of Evangelization and human promotion.
