VISION: Shared responsibility of building God's kingdom through missionary cooperation of all the baptized.
MISSION: To raise awareness to our Christians of their moral obligation to support the Universal Solidarity Fund and Missionary activities of the Church towards support of Children, formation of priests and Religious, Communion of Churches and creation of a true worshipping community.
Pontifical Missionary Societies: What are they? The Pontifical Missionary Societies are the Official Church institution arms to promote and deepen Mission awareness and assist the Missionary activities of the Church by prayer,offering of sufferings and financial help.
They inform the people of God about the Life and needs of the Universal Mission encouraging the particular Churches to pray for one another and support one another through the exchange of personnel and material resources. They seek to assist all the Missions of the world, especially those in greatest need. Their main objective is the support of Evangelization.
They are pontifical because they are under the patronage of the Holy Father. The societies are four namely:
Organizing Holy Childhood day -Epiphany Sunday, prayer days, drama festivals Acts of Charity.
Organizing vocations Sunday.
Organizing Mission Sunday.
Formation of Missionary Union. preparation of posters for animation and other animation materials.
To have local donors who will support the printing of animation materials, posters and membership cards.
To have volunteer teachers who will act as animators to teach, promote and deepen the faith of children. They will be role models to inspire children to become committed and practising Christians.
To support the work of missionaries by being a friend of Pontifical Missionary Societies. This could be through prayer and financial contribution.
To promote vocations to priesthood and religious life as well as encouraging good families.
