OUR GOALS:

1. To facilitate effective co-ordination of schools management within the Catholic Schools System.
2. Enhancing skills of personnel and policy-makers of Church-sponsored and Church-private schools.
3. Enabling the teaching of the Christian Religious Education (CRE) subject in Primary and Secondary Schools nationwide.
4. Addressing the diverse pastoral problems of students through Chaplaincy services.
5. Enabling pastoral instruction for Catholic children in Primary and Secondary schools nationwide.

OUR ACTIVITIES:

There are over 3,600 primary and over 900 secondary Catholic-sponsored schools, and about 70 primary and 75 secondary Catholic-private non-profit-making schools, for which the commission provides several services.
The Commission intends to organize Capacity Building for Education since Education Secretaries are key players in the provision of Education at the Diocesan level. Here it is involved in the Centre for In-Serving Religious Education Teachers (CISRET). It also runs the Catholic Pastoral Awareness Program (CAPAP).
The Commission facilitates Capacity Building workshops for Head and Deputies of Educational Institutions in the field of non-violence conflict resolution management,
The Commission reviews the Policy Document for Catholic Education in Kenya, Program of Pastoral Instruction (P.P.I) and text book series. In this respect the commission offers in-serving courses on CRE for secondary school teachers.
The Commission runs a management course for Secondary School Managers and Policy makers (=> School Managers Management Course).
It runs Counseling Training Workshop courses at the district level for teachers jointly with C.C.E.A and S.D.A.
